heidi3Heidi J. Dalzell, PsyD, CEDS, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Certified Eating Disorders Specialist and iaedp Approved Supervisor. Dr. Dalzell brings 20 years of direct eating disorder experience to her role of co-director of the Bucks Eating Support Collaborative. Dr. Dalzell graduated summa cum laude from Immaculata University, where she completed her research on early trauma. She also holds an Ed.M. from Temple University.

Dr. Dalzell has a busy private practice specializing in eating disorders and has a particular interest in the intersection between eating disorders and trauma. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings including Eating Disorders Treatment Center and Belmont Center’s Eating Disorder Program. She is also the past coordinator of the Certified Alcohol Counselor Program at Bucks County Community College.

As an avid activist in the area of eating disorders, Dr. Dalzell is active in the International Association for Eating Disorders Professional where she serves on the board. She is also a member of the American Psychological Association, the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP), and the EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) International Association.

Dr. Dalzell is also a writer for Examiner.com and Kidspeace and speaker at professional and community events. She is trained in eye movement desensitazation and reprocessing (EMDR), advanced mindfulness techniques and dialectical behavior therapy.

Dr. Dalzell is an interactive and engaging therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address life challenges. She offers a variety of techniques and a personalized approach for each client.
