Patrick Knowles is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) who provides clinical therapy for individuals, couples, and families. He holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Rutgers University and utilizes a client-centered, strengths-based approach to help people navigate severe anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.
Patrick understands that starting therapy can be a complicated decision, even for those who have tried it in the past. However, he also knows that if you are reading this, there is a good chance you are headed in the right direction—a step forward toward the change you want to see in yourself.
Wherever you may be in the process, welcome.
Patrick’s therapeutic sessions offer a safe reprieve from life’s day-to-day stressors and the negative patterns and routines that can sometimes hold us back. His clinical practice draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, exposure therapy, and a variety of mindfulness-based approaches. He specializes in supporting individuals navigating difficult life transitions, living with neurodevelopmental diagnoses, and experiencing profound loss and grief.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, distant from your partner, or searching for a greater sense of balance in your life, Patrick can help. He tailors evidence-based coping strategies to help clients break free from unhelpful cycles, fostering a sense of empowerment, support, and understanding throughout the therapeutic process.
Above all, Patrick believes that meaningful change and lasting cognitive shifts begin with small, intentional steps, and that everyday moments can offer powerful opportunities for growth. He invites you to embrace your journey toward realizing your potential and moving closer to the hopes and dreams that await on the horizon.
Patrick works under the supervision of Kelly Corbitt, LCSW at Newtown Therapy and Wellness Center.
