Testing & Assessment

Psychological testing and assessment for ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a comprehensive and specialized process aimed at understanding the cognitive and behavioral functioning of individuals suspected of having ADHD.

This evaluation involves a battery of standardized tests and clinical interviews conducted by trained school and clinical psychologists. These assessments explore various aspects of attention, executive functions, memory, and other cognitive domains to uncover any underlying neurobiological factors contributing to ADHD symptoms.

The results of these assessments help in formulating a diagnosis, determining the severity of ADHD symptoms, and tailoring appropriate treatment plans, which may include medication, therapy, or educational interventions, to better support individuals with ADHD in managing their symptoms and achieving their full potential.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Newtown ADHD Center offers a variety of services, beyond testing and assessment, that can be selected a la carte style. Individualized programs can be developed by your provider, based on our “E3IQ” curriculum.

This unique curriculum, developed by the providers at the Newtown ADHD Center, draws on combined decades of education and clinical experience working with individuals with ADHD and their support systems. Lessons and exercises are relevant to the unique strengths and needs of clients with ADHD, and they teach accessible and applicable skills and strategies for encouraging success. The E3IQ curriculum is built on three pillars of intervention and focus for ADHD treatment:

Individual & Group Coaching

Newtown ADHD Center understands that navigating life with ADHD presents unique challenges, creative opportunities and individualized obstacles. We offer both individual and group coaching options that are thorough, in-depth, and take into account the whole person.

These sessions take place with certified ADHD professionals who are also masters and/or doctoral level psychotherapists, incorporating our own E3IQ Curriculum. Applying these skills to the unique individual, our ADHD coaches work collaboratively with clients, to help problem-solve, empower, and build resilience on their journey. Individual coaching options can be curriculum-based or non-curriculum based, depending on clients’ needs. Our group coaching options are rooted in our E3IQ curriculum and are correlated to the individually based program. Group coaching sessions allow for continued support, learning, and growth for individuals with ADHD while helping to boost self-esteem, enhance the quality of relationships, and empower participants to navigate social challenges effectively, while fostering a sense of confidence and belonging. Clients can choose to engage with individual offerings, group offerings, or both.
