Allen is an EMDR-trained psychotherapist who specializes in trauma-informed mental health treatment. He is an excellent choice for individuals and families who have been exposed to acute traumatic events, such as first responders, veterans, and victims of crime, as well as those looking to process long-term, chronic traumas like childhood and domestic abuse, chronic illness, interpersonal trauma and betrayal, and addiction. He also treats disorders related to mood, neurodevelopment, and anxiety, including ADHD, Bipolar, Panic, and various phobias.
Allen earned his MSW from Bryn Mawr College’s Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research (GSSWSR) and his B.S. in Biochemistry from Pennsylvania State University. He completed his clinical training at Penn Psychiatry’s Outpatient Psychiatric Center and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital’s Center City Emergency Department.
Allen works under the supervision of Kelly Corbitt, LCSW at Newtown Therapy and Wellness Center.
