Dr. Menago is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of PA and has authorization to practice through PSYPACT, which allows her to provide telepsychology services in participating states. She holds her PsyD in Clinical Psychology and her MA in Human Services Psychology from LaSalle University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in special education from Lock Haven University. Dr. Menago spent her early career in the public school systems working with children with learning and behavioral differences. Dr. Menago did her Doctoral Internship at Devereux Foundation, where she provided trauma-informed services for children and their families and worked with the therapeutic foster care system.

Dr. Menago is a member of the Psi Chi Honors Society in Psychology, the American Psychological Association (APA): Division 2 (Teaching), and Division 17 (Counseling Psychology), where she is also co-chair of the Special Interest Group (SIG) in Counseling Psychology. She is also a member of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association (PPA). Dr. Menago is a professor of psychology at Holy Family University, where she also directs and was responsible for developing and accrediting (APA) the Doctor of Psychology in Counseling Psychology program. She currently serves on the Pennsylvania and Delaware Director of Training Board. Dr. Menago engages in research that addresses best practices in higher education, specifically the training of graduate-level students and the development of innovative programming to develop competent clinicians consistent with APA accreditation guidelines. Additionally, Dr. Menago has used her lived experience to engage in research addressing best practices regarding the treatment of complicated grief and loss, in particular, suicide loss survivors and postvention.

As a private practitioner, she works with individuals, couples, and families throughout the lifespan, utilizing a strength-based and contextual framework to understand client issues. She employs a Cognitive-Behavioral approach (CBT), blending mindfulness-based interventions. She specializes in trauma-focused work, Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), stress management, and women’s issues.

Dr. Menago has trained in the approaches of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Mindfulness-based Practices of the heart and meditation. Additionally, she is trained in Dialectical and Behavioral therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Positive psychology.
